Black designer Rant
We need more black people in fashion. We need more high fashion houses besides Fenty. When I say this I'm not talking about just slapping a logo and a design on a t-shirt and selling it for $300..(cough, cough). I mean actual ORIGINAL designers. I feel like a lot of black men are too insecure to make a beautiful gown or women's clothing in general. Afraid of being called gay or something like that. Do you know how crazy it would be to see an haute couture show designed by a black woman or man? I want to see a black designer on an Alexander Mcqueen pedestal.
There are some amazing black designers like Pyer Moss, Mowalola, Cushnie et Ochs, Jerry Lorenzo, Hanifa, and more that need way more recognition!
