Kanye West Womenswear Collections.

DW By Kanye West Spring 2012
DW (Donda West) Spring/ Summer 2012 by Kanye West was his first womenswear collection. The show was held during Paris Fashion Week in 2011. This was such an amazing, influential collection. I mean from the clothing, the heels, & the accessories. Even down to the model lineup. Imagine having Chanel Iman, Anja Rubik, Izabel Goulart, Karlie Kloss, & Abbey Lee Kershaw walking your first fashion show, crazy! I hate that Kanye didn't continue with his self-titled label after his Fall 2012 show. I love the different elements that Kanye mixed in the looks from streetwear, to chic, sleek, & sexy.

So many people had negative things to say about this collection, maybe just using their own personal dislike towards Kanye instead of appreciating his art & vision. I feel that a lot of people act like complete snobs when analyzing & don't have not one creative bone inside of them to just appreciate what's in front of them. A lot of critics disagreed with this collection having anything to do with Spring wear with the clothing being too heavy for the Springtime with the furs, & the crocodile skin.

The Yeezy nameplates & the four different Giuseppe Zanotti heels created for this show were so good. I feel this collection would've had such a strong clientele from maybe Rihanna, Ciara, Joan Smalls, & so many more. I believe this would even sell to women who aren't even celebrities but just really love fashion. I could see his pieces being sold in Barneys New York (Before they shut down), Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, etc.

The pearl-embroidered pair of heels came at a price of $5,942 & the black velvet leather pair of sandals priced at $950.

Kanye had such a high profile audience from Ciara, Azzedine Alaia, Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen, Lindsay Lohan, Oliver Theyskens, Fendi, Alexander Wang, Terry Richardson, Giuseppe Zanotti himself, Joseph Altuzarra, & more.

Fashion journalist, Anna Dello Russo, wearing a head-to-toe look from the show just three days after its debut. She wore this to the Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 show by the way.

Kanye West Fall 2012
This is Kanye's second womenswear collection during Paris Fashion Week. Kanye actually used the same building for his show that Alber Elbaz used for his Lanvin show. Kanye stayed true to the luxe, sleek, & sexy feel with the fur, leather, bondage, velvet, & hugging looks.

Kanye held another high profile audience from Riccardo Tisci, Kim Kardashian, Big Sean, Alicia Keys & Swizz Beatz, Diddy & Cassie, Rosario Dawson, Azalea Banks, Alexander Wang, & more.
