The work of Marcel Breuer

Marcel Breuer was an incredible, internationally known architect and furniture designer known for his modern concepts. Marcel was born in Pécs, Hungary. Marcel also studied and taught at the Bauhaus School of Design in Weimar, Germany from 1920 to 1928. 

The old Whitney Museum of American Art located in the upper east side of Manhattan, New York City, is one of Breuer's most known works. The gallery was designed in July of 1963, opened in 1964, & closed & relocated in 2014.

Hooper House II in Baltimore County, Maryland

The Hooper House located in Bare Hills in Baltimore, Maryland, was commissioned by Edith Hooper, & designed by Marcel Breuer & Herbert Beckhard in 1959.
