Bottega Veneta Fall/ Winter 2022

My favorite show from MFW, Bottega Veneta Fall 2022. This was Matthieu Blazy's debut collection for the label with him being named creative director last November.
I absolutely adore this collection because of its simplicity. A lot of people found Matthieu's debut boring, & underwhelming but I find it to be really great for his first time. He's only going to get better because these looks are really incredible.

Matthieu has such an impressive resume from working at Balenciaga, working at Celine with Phoebe Philo, Maison Martin Margiela, Raf Simons, & also working under Raf Simons at Calvin Klein, and course him being the head of design of Bottega under Daniel Lee, to now him being the creative director. I have also heard that he is partnering with Alaïa's creative director, Pieter Mulier. Pieter also worked under Raf Simons with Matthieu at Calvin Klein.

These first two opening looks are made from leather, and they look something like jeans, a normal white tank, and a button-down, but they're made of 100% leather; really amazing. Details like this just make me excited to see what Matthieu has to bring.
