Taylor Russell, DAZED Winter Issue
Photography by Carlijn Jacobs. Styling by Imruh Asha. Hairstyling by Mustafa Yanaz. Makeup by Kennedy Kali. Set Design by Heath Mattioli.
Taylor Russell has truly made her mark on the red carpet, looking absolutely glamorous from head-to-toe Schiaparelli looks, Alexander McQueen, to even becoming the new global brand ambassador for Loewe all in two months! Each moment Russell steps onto the carpet, she knocks the ball right out of the park and is not afraid to pull out all the stops. One of the things I love about her style is that there are no limits; she takes it every time. There's just something about her attitude that lets the clothes do the talking, and I honestly can't wait to see all of her looks in 2023, especially during the Oscars season, as well as the Met Gala.
Of course, with Russell being the brand ambassador for Loewe, she must wear head-to-toe clothes and accessories from the fashion house. So for this uber-glamourous cover shoot for Dazed, she wears Loewe SS23 throughout this shoot.
D La Repubblica Alta Moda A/I 22
Photographed by Paolo Roversi. Styled by Jacob K. Hair by Eugene Souleiman. Makeup by Lucy Bridge. Nails by Hanaé Goumri. Set Design by Jean-Hugues de Chatillon.
This cover story exuded glamour, and I loved every single image. I'm a fan of Paolo Roversi; he's such a phenomenal fashion photographer. His photographs capture such a mythological, dark fantasy that is unlike any other photographer. He's worked with many of the most notable fashion houses, from Alaïa, Comme Des Garçons, Yves-Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, and more. He's worked with top models like Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Amber Valetta, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Shalom Harlow, Erin O'Connor, Liya Kebede, Gisele Bundchen, and even Rihanna.
For this cover story, Roversi focused on four models; Alaato Jazyper, Anyiang Yak, Mila Van Eeten, and Saskia de Brauw. The models are drenched in couture in the images from labels like Schiaparelli, Maison Margiela, Jean Paul Gaultier by Olivier Rousteing, Fendi, Viktor & Rolf, Valentino, Christian Dior, Chanel, Giambattista Vali, Armani Prive, Balenciaga, and Dolce & Gabbana.
Beyoncé, British Vogue July Issue
Photographed by Rafael Pavarotti. Styled by Edward Enniful and Marnix Senofonte. Hair by Jawara. Makeup by Sir John. Nails by Miho Okawara. Set designed by Mary Howard.
Beyoncé shocked the world the morning British Vogue released its July 2022 issue. Just a day after her cover story was published, she dropped "Break My Soul," which has been spinning in our minds since its release. Beyoncé days later announced that her album, RENAISSANCE, would be released July 29th, which almost broke the internet from excitement. This British Vogue cover story was a phenomenal way to begin the hype. This shoot was the perfect reflection of RENAISSANCE, and as I look back at these images and listen to the album, it just makes me want to get up and dance.
Viola Davis, ELLE Brasil September Issue
Creative Direction by Luciano Schmitz. Photography by MAR+VIN. Styling by Juliana Gimenez. Makeup by Sergio Lopez-Rivera. Hairstyling by Jamika Wilson.
These photos of Viola Davis took my breath away when they were first published. She looks so stunning that I almost thought the images were just edits. MAR+VIN (Marcos Florentino and Kelvin Yule) photographed this pure art of a cover shoot for ELLE Brazil's September issue. Just the striking, radiating energy Davis exudes, you can feel it through the screen. With the release of her latest movie, The Woman King, this ELLE Brazil cover shoot was the perfect way to draw more attention to its release. I feel this shoot was so unique for Viola Davis because we haven't seen her be so avant-garde, but this was so needed & honestly, an iconic moment for her. Ten, ten, ten's across the board!
